Bifrost (by Maxim AI) is a high-performance, open-source AI gateway that unifies access to 20+ providers through a single OpenAI-compatible API, featuring adaptive routing, guardrails, governance, and observability.
What I am doing
- Researched and authored 10+ comprehensive architectural deep-dives on Bifrost (covering adaptive load balancing, enterprise guardrails, semantic caching, AI observability, virtual keys, and MCP gateway integration), syndicating them across DEV.to, Medium, Substack, and my personal blogging page.
- Submitted 50+ pull requests to curated GitHub "Awesome" lists, securing merged high-authority backlinks to drive discovery and organic GitHub stars.
- Formulated and executed multi-channel developer distribution strategies across Reddit, daily.dev, Peerlist, and Hacker News, that gained over 300K+ impressions. And also, it drove discussions in
r/opencode,r/LocalLLM, andr/mcp, including achieving top-ranking community posts onr/opencode. - Built an outreach pipeline of 250+ guest-posting platforms and high-tier tech creators across YouTube, Medium, DEV.to, and Substack, initiating collaboration outreach to prominent creators.
- Listed and launched Bifrost across 40+ high DR sites, that increased the Domain Rating of the site to 69.
- Tested Bifrost's gateway features hands-on, opened 4 GitHub issues with product feedback for the core engineering team, conducted competitive performance benchmarking against LiteLLM's Rust implementation, and audited documentation benchmark discrepancies and AIEO (AI Engine Optimization) gaps.
- Conducted thorough competitive analysis of Bifrost's competitors including LiteLLM, Truefoundry, Kong AI Gateway and Portkey, to identify market positioning and differentiation opportunities.
- Updated 70+ high-performing legacy technical articles to embed Bifrost gateway workflows, contextual backlinks, and updated AI architecture practices.
- Handling weekly outreach for guest posting and community collaborations, and onboarded 10+ new influencers across various platform by auditing over 700 profiles.
- Planned 9 new growth experiments that can significantly increase the community engagement and presence of Bifrost.
